Wallet passes for e-commerce

Your store. Stored

Run your loyalty program in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet: live points, tiers, and coupons, issued and updated from Pushwoosh.

Why loyalty belongs in Wallet

Most loyalty programs live on an account page and in emails. Customers forget their points, can’t find their member number at checkout, and the next offer gets buried in the inbox.

Next to their bank cards

The card sits in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, one tap away when it's time to pay.

Points that keep up

When the balance or tier changes, the card on the phone shows it.

Part of your journeys

The pass is tied to the same customer profile as your push and email, so every campaign can use it.

How stores use Wallet

Each one is a model scenario — a typical setup, not a client case study:

Loyalty card at sign-up

The moment someone joins, a journey issues a personal card with their name and member number, and the welcome email delivers the link.

Points after every order

Points live in a tag, so after each purchase the card refreshes to the balance the customer actually has.

Coupon for the next order

Right after checkout, a journey issues a coupon with a personal code and expiry date and sends it by push or email.

Tier upgrade

When the tier tag changes, the card flips from Silver to Gold — right where customers will see it.

Win-back offer

Update one campaign field, and a fresh offer lands on the cards quiet customers already carry.

Your scenario

A different flow in mind? Map it with our team on a demo — the setup is the same account either way.

One scenario, step by step

Here’s “Points after every order” from both sides: what the customer sees and what your team sets up. A store-wide coupon skips all of this — it launches from the pass builder with one shared link.

  1. A customer signs up

Set up a pass campaign with shared fields (logo, colors, terms) and personal fields (name, member number, points). The sign-up event starts a journey.

  2. They get an Add to Wallet email

An Issue Wallet Pass step creates the card for both wallets, then Send Email adds the customer's personal link.

  3. They save the card

Nothing to set up here: the pass registers for updates on its own, and the holder shows up in the customer profile.

  4. They order — the balance updates

Your store updates the points tag, and tag sync refreshes the card on the interval you set. For instant updates, use the API.

Two ways to launch

Start without code today, automate when you’re ready — both routes run on the same account.

1. Start without code

One shared pass for everyone — a store-wide coupon or a general store card. Build it once, then drop the link or QR code into push, email, SMS, your site, or the till; allow multiple holders on Google Wallet so one link works for all.

What you’ll need:

  • Apple Wallet — a Developer Program membership and a signing certificate uploaded to Pushwoosh. No iOS app.
  • Google Wallet — a Wallet Console issuer account and a service account key.
  • Redemption — your site or POS reads the code; checkout stays on your side.

2. Automate in Customer Journey

A personal card for every customer: a pass campaign plus an Issue Wallet Pass step in a journey. Tag sync keeps points and tier live; the API covers data in your own backend.

Everything from Route 1, plus:

  • Customer data — a User ID per customer, with points and tier in tags or events.
  • A trigger event — the sign-up or purchase that starts the journey.

Already in your Pushwoosh account

A pass doesn’t deliver itself. The channels that carry it and the customer data behind it are already in your account — so the price of running Wallet looks like this.

What your Wallet setup includes

  • Email — puts the Add to Wallet button into welcome emails and order confirmations
  • Mobile push — sends the coupon link and tells holders about new offers
  • Segmentation & CDP — stores points and tier, and finds the members who need a win-back offer
  • Customer Journey Builder — issues the card at sign-up and the coupon after an order

Wallet add-on fee: $0 — it’s part of the platform, your price depends on your plan.
